Dark times lads, what now?

I reckon being out of Europe in January will be a blessing.

Agree on this, sooner we are out the better, being in it after a summer of major rebuild has been a massive problem, wouldnt even risk any solid first team players on Thursday, its a waste of time

I've written this season off to be honest.

My Everton hopes for the rest of 2016/17;
1) The new signings from the continent (Klaassen and Sandro especially) show some really positive signs of being a success in this league. At worst, this might mean we make money off flogging them to another club.
2) Whatever striker we sign in January, they hit the ground running.
3) There becomes a pattern, style and cohesiveness to our play, which there clearly isn't currently.
4) Jags and Williams sign off their PL club career in May. Jags I'm sure will go with the best wishes, and the fond memories of the fans.... Williams, perhaps not so much.
5) Naturally, we stay up in the Premier League - if offered, I would accept anywhere between 12th-14thish at the moment.
6) Barkley signs on.
7) The new manager quickly builds rapport and goodwill with the fans; and results start to happen on the pitch.
8) There's continued positive progress on the stadium front.

Bit different from the giddy wish-list of three months ago.

Do our games revert back to Saturdays? The ones that aren't being televised I mean.
It's bad enough being crap, but waiting an extra day to be crap is even worse.

They will unless they are on TV, this is one reasons I didn't want want to be in it in the first place, it's horrible to have to play in it. The home games been nothimg but trouble, West Ham got it right a few years ago when they didn't qualify after gettung in the early rounds.
A knock out stage game would be fun if we were doing well in the league, but for me the sooner we are out the better

Koeman left us with an acutely unbalanced squad. I'd go as far as to say it's the worst Everton squad since the days of Walter Smith.

It's daft to expect a guy with no Premier League managerial experience to be able to get such a squad to win games.

Unworth is a cracking fella, but he's not got the requisite experience to keep us up.

We need a proven manager in place ASAP.

Are you kidding, Janders?

Write the season off?

I wish we could as that would suggest lower top ten anonymity and near enough forty points secured by the time the daffodils and crocuses are out :(

But as it happens we are in the drop zone on merit, cannot keep a clean sheet for toffee and our strikers could not finish a pork pie or hit a cow’s arse with a banjo.

A recipe for unmitigated disaster.

Right now I feel EFC is in mortal danger and we are facing the most important seven or eight months in the club’s recent history :hayee:

No sir....we are in no position to write this season off.

And my only hope for the rest of this season is to see the Blues out of that darned relegation zone and staying out of it :pint2:

What strikers is that. We sold our goals and now it's come back to haunt us
