Dark times lads, what now?

I just dont know what it will take to get these players going, the supporters where well up for it today, there was a the hint of a light at the end of the tunnel, then it disappeared with massively below average performance all over the pitch....this stinks of... Wimbledon...Coventry....now last game of the season West Ham (away)

With Rhino in charge I am confident we'll have a good season. I think getting CL spots via the league top 4 places is well beyond us thanks to our slow start but maybe not via us winning EL.
Rhino bleeds blue and I'd get Joe Royle and big Dunc in to assist him.
Ossie and Hibbo could be brought in to gee the lads up at training and we could get Bainsey and Wazza to describe their passion for Everton before every practice session.
Finally, we can fall back on the extraordinary leadership of Capt Jags. This fella lends a whole new meaning to the terms 'inspiring' and 'courageous'.

We'll be fine...

There is a serious melt down going on isn't there.

We need to be patient, back Unsworth until a decision is made.

He's got Lyon away and Watford before any discussions are had. We are in a mess but he can't be expected to turn it round in 6 days.

No one can turn it around until January and we get the striker in Koeman wanted, to replace the outgoing one
It is incredible to understand how this has been allowed to happen

Nothing surprises me though, how’s Elstone still in a job after years of commercial failures we reward failure here at Everton.

How’s Bill Kenwright not been hounded out of our club after 3 failed stadium moves?

This has been on the cards for years.

That's my point mate. They wouldn't be playing there with those options.
Rooney would because he is uncoachable, he plays where he wants when he wants. DCL could play up there but I'm not sure he's the answer to our goalscoring issues, I'm not convinced he's a finisher at all (I do think that he's a very promising player btw).

You are correct about the striker, but the problem is that its not just a striker we need, we need premier type quality all over the pitch, weve got players who are too old and some younger ones just not quite ready yet

These are dark times. But it's a little early to be crying 'we're doomed'. Here are some reasons why relegation is not as big a threat as some think :

1. Our league fixtures in November and December are a little easier. Yes we'll no doubt throw away more points, but if we can manage to pick up a win or two here and there then the task facing the new manager in January won't seem quite so large.

2. Out of Europe, out of the League Cup, that's fewer distractions.

3. We've seen a massive loss of form by experienced internationals like Williams, Schneiderlin, Sigurjonsson. It's got to be partly down to the Koeman factor because these players are better than that. Hopefully the new manager can get more out of them.

4. There are other basic things that a new manager with his head screwed on can do to get us attacking and defending like a team rather than as a bunch of clueless individuals.

5. I don't know when Bolassie, Coleman and Barkley are expected to return, Coleman can certainly help the team when he's back, Bolassie's another option, not so sure about Barkley, I suspect he'll be wanting out for sure after seeing the horror shows that pass as Everton games.

6. We will buy a proper striker in January because the future of the club depends on it.

Sorry but it's all stems to selling lukaku and NOT REPLACING him. No goals = no wins.
Also the unavailability of Ross a double whammy imo, also,Baines looks finished, add to that missing Coleman it's a unfortunate cocktail of events plus the funds wasted on incoming players to fill there boots or in Baines case no replacement at all like Lukaku?
A mystery what Koeman/Walsh were playing at tbh it cost one of them the main protagonist his job!
