Dark times lads, what now?

Coleman Barkley Mori Bolasie. I know they have their ups and downs but that’s four first teasers right there. But yeah we’re in the crap no doubt about it.
I think Mori and Keane will be decent at the back together especially with Coleman. Get Barkley back and have him playing in a free role and we will be good to go

We're doomed, doomed I say.......no really it's a little worrying to say the least, sort it out you bell whiffs!

The reality is that we cannot attract an Ancelotti or a Tuchel so there is no point even considering them at this moment in time. I'd let Unsworth stay in charge until December to see if he can steady the ship. If it doesn't work out then the likes of Dyche will still be available, and no matter who is managing this lot at the moment, nothing is going to change instantly. The drawback with Dyche is that he won't be able to attract the big names, but let's be honest, Ronald has set us back at least a year so we aren't getting any big names in in January anyway.

We still have some good players in our squad but our striker situation is seriously worrying and the older players in defence need replacing too. The priority in January has to be the striker situation and left side of defence. If that means getting some 'non glamorous' names that are young and are pacy then so be it.

Providing we stay up, which I still fully expect us to do, our short term aim now has to be dominance over the rest of the league (7th placed trophy again the season after this one). If and when we do that, we will be back to where we were this summer and hopefully whoever is in charge, along with the Billionnaire owner we have, won't screw things up as bad as they did in the Summer.

Quite depressing how far we've been set back, but these things can happen, especially since "we're Everton".

That phrase makes me laugh too, and I hope it came about in the 60's or 80's when we were a top club. Because these days, we're in the same category as the West Hams/Aston Villa's and Newcastle's etc for failing to push on when given the chance. This situation just simply wouldn't have happened for any of the 'Big 6' and it shows how far behind them we are unfortunately.

January is looking pivotal now. We need a right back to compete with Coleman as Holgate is a centre half, Cuco is garbo and Kenny looks well short at the moment. We need a younger left back to take over from Baines, I was hoping this new player could gradually phase Baines out but he made need to replace him straight away as Baines is a big problem right now. Ashley Williams simply must be replaced quickly at all costs, so that is another centre back. We need a striker and a genuine wide player to sort out our laughable impotence.

5 players (at least), basically starting from scratch again and god knows much more money is needed to facilitate that.
