Daily Mail rag puts the boot into Martinez, the night before the derby

He might be highly regarded but it's always looked odd how the likes of Coleman, McCarthy and Baines have been blowing for tugs since the first few weeks and their all usually are fittest players.
Lesson learnt, hopefully the fitness staff have learnt from it and fix it for the next preseason

The timing of publishing this the night before the derby is pretty suss. Quite obvious this was done deliberately to try to achieve something.

I'd say it raises more questions than answers though, especially considering the awful pre season arrangements and the fact we can't seem to hold a lead because players a blowing a gasket at 75 minutes plus.

Since when have we ever cared about the mouth piece of the Tories has to say about us

Ace timing like, I doubt that was a coincidence.

I'd banned the bigoted cockstash from Goodison for a long time, and his colleagues too.

Hurt Gerrard please.

Doubt if it would be that favourable towards the RS either tbh. Doesn't it just hate scousers one and all ?

Making an angle from the Lennon photos as well hahaha, garbage journalism.
Did you expect anytthing less from Matt Lawton ? His source must have been Distin, fancy asking a Moyes stalwart to actually play football.
Didnt notice too many quotes from him and his employers trying to sell any player that they seem "too good " for Everton.
Nor did I see the injuries to far too many key players this season coupled with the diabolical refereeing decisions against us.
Yes the Europa has & will take its toll on our wafer thin squad but yes we've sailed through that.
But you know what I say fcuk you Matt Lawton & your Dail Fail we will come good again, and judging by your peronal attack on our manager
you've shown your where your Sky alligence is. (You look a prick on that sunday show).
I hope our players read this and treat it with the same disdain as "The Gerrard Derby" & ram it down your throat.

That was true at the start of the season but from Chelsea game onwards can't say I've noticed it in many players other than Besic (adapting to the league) or those players coming back from injury like Barry.

Coleman seemed to have the reverse problem after his achilles injury - he started matches very slow and needed a lot of cover from McGeady (which overtired him) before warming up in the second part of games.

We've been mentally fragile but not so much fitness wise imo

Not really mate, because lots of the facts are wrong. It makes out loads of staff are leaving because they can't work with him, when 2 of the 3 key names (Tashjian and Billows) left on very good terms last summer, with Tashjian's departure planned a year in advance and Billows an amicable parting more to do with money than any personal issue. Eto'o is also used, and his behaviour elsewhere has already justified Martinez getting rid of him.

Of course everything isn't perfect - we wouldn't be 12th if it was - but the article is a hugely biased and inaccurate piece, using a handful of valid criticisms but the majority being full of crappy 'unnamed source' nonsense that is basically carte blanche for any reporter to write lies and a biased piece.

Any of the valid criticisms could have been made at any point in the month of December, but nothing was said. Matt Lawton has form, he's written numerous negative Everton articles in the past, dating back to when Moyes was in charge.

There's a handful of 'senior pros' at Everton with massive titty lips at the moment, because they realise their days on the Moyes gravy train is over and their departure is rapidly approaching. The likes of Distin are on their way out and they're having a pop on their way out of the door.

I don't know about that mate, the tories have history with some Liverpool players.
