My favourite comedian of all time... I guess you didn't get the joke.
Nope, i didn`t know you did humour. I`ve been on GOT since May and only had about 2 or 3 witty replies to my posts- considering there`s about twenty @sisters in your sewing circle that`s a very poor crop.

How long before @JimmyJeffers @ChesterBlue @Lobster Johnson etc start saying Jimmy Saville was ok really and as a minor attracted person he was misunderstood and discriminated against and that MAPs should be able to express themselves freely without persecution you haters! The clocks ticking.
Reported. You can’t just baselessly accuse forum members you disagree with of being pedophile sympathisers

Or "Tuesday" as Jerry Sadowitz calls it.

The first time I saw him it was the night of comic relief. His opening bit was to walk on, drop his trousers, put a red nose on his knob and simulate masturbating. The punchline was "How's that for comic relief?"

That was his opener.
I'm well aware of his work.

I just find the whole "cancel culture" cry bizarre.

You wouldn't be expected to walk into another line of work and to see someone get their knob out. It's obvious that it's a gag designed to subvert - it seems odd that he (although im not sure he has to any great degree) or others would think that people might not want to see it.

He seems to have done absolutely fine out of this, his shows are selling well, the club have protected their employees. Who exactly has been cancelled here?

So, what did he think would happen?

I'm not arguing he's been cancelled. I also didn't see the show, I just know some people who did.

I think most people paying money to see him are well aware of what they're getting into and the place his humour comes from (the butt of the joke is always himself). It's a tough sell to explain that, however, to a young asian guy who's come to work on a bar and heard racist language for 5 minutes straight. I can see both sides of this.

Good gag like, especially as an opener.

But that type of thing, combined with the use of the P word, it’s not that unexpected that some venues might say ‘yeah, your act isn’t for us mate’. They’re not obliged to give him a slot are they.

Totally agree. The strange part was that the same venue had done his two shows at the fringe for the last 5 years or something. On the other hand, good on them for listening to a temporary member of staff and taking action.
