As an Everton fan he gave me some of my funniest moments, Cuco by name, Coco by nature.

I got banned before for calling him that, racist apparently!

Thing is, he was dodgy for us but ultimately solid. You might all wonder why the Hell we signed up but who would have played there last season when Baines went down? Saved us in reality.

No he was not. We could have played a makeshift fullback like Beningame out there or something and it probably wouldn't have been much worse

Which is exactly what Baines has been doing most of his career, and what our legendary full back Alex Parker did. Cuco knew his limitations and played within them, always trying to keep out of trouble by over commitment. And he was always prepared to take the ball down the wing and get in a cross. At crossing the ball, Cuco is/was better than the current Coleman.

I'm not sure exactly what stats you're referencing but my guess is they were inflated by any half decent team attacking down that side more than anywhere else

So? He still had good stats and was mostly pretty solid in my eyes.

Fortunately for him there’s no stats to show how many times he failed to stop a cross or tried to tackle with his wrong foot or passed the ball out of play or wandered aimlessly into a random area of the pitch leaving huge gaps behind him.
