He didn't try his best, that was part of the problem

When did he not try his best? He is a player of very limited ability who to compound this, was played in the wrong position. None of this is/was his fault. I cant remember when the lad never give it his all, its just his all wasnt and never will be good enough.

Don't see how he's a very lucky man. He was paid what I assume is the going rate, ended up playing out of position through no fault of his own, and gets abuse for it. Had he been a left back on massive wages, and came swanning into the club, I could kind of understand it more.

Err he's very lucky cos he got an extremely well paid job he isn't qualified for cos he knew the boss

Thing is, he was dodgy for us but ultimately solid. You might all wonder why the Hell we signed up but who would have played there last season when Baines went down? Saved us in reality.

He backed out of tackles all the time

Turned his back on loads of shots on goal too, some of them going in.

He played like a five year old at times and that`s being generous.

Turned his back on every single cross from his side. Occasionally a couple would hit his outstretched leg and people would say he’d been brilliant. The most infuriating and mind-blowingly gash footballer I’ve ever seen pull on the Everton shirt and very possibly a Premier League shirt in general. Every single second he was on the pitch was a nightmare. Stoke won’t take up the option to sign him, but I still have no doubt we’ll never see him again. The goodest of riddances.
