I'd look at Davies to come across as well as Gana on the other side to cover...

Unleash Vlasic and Lookman...

..it would leave us a bit exposed in the middle, although Barry did help Baines out for the past few seasons.

I just think we’re missing a trick with Vlasic. He looked great against Arsenal, running at the opposition through the middle (reminded me lots of Wilshire). He’s more a similar type to Ross Barkley and I’d give him a start at no10.

I would play Vlasic and Lennon on the wings to stop Zaha and Townsend. This is going to be there main/only threat.

..the point i’ve made is that Vlasic does not support his full back, he drifts inside and then ends up playing catch up. Even Lennon gets caught ball watching but at least he’s a conventional wide player. I’m a Vlasic fan but look at the games he’s started out wide and see the void in front of the full back.

Pickford

Kenny Jags Keane Baines

Davies Baningime Gueye

Sigurdsson

Niasse Calvert-Lewin

Keep it tight but get the ball forward quickly.

I have a theory about the mysterious disappearance of Vlasic from the side...

He has been so obviously the best player that to leave him out makes the rest look better, therefore increasing their confidence in themselves. It's mind games, Your Honour.

Whichever formation we play, we have these midfield options;

Wide: Mirallas, Lennon, Vlasic, Lookman, Sigurdsson
Central: Baningime, Gana, Schneiderlin, Besic, Davies, Klaassen
Attacking: Davies, Vlasic, Rooney, Sigurdsson, Klaassen

Personally,

Out wide: the only 2 id even want on the pitch are Vlasic and Lookman. None of the others carry much threat.
Central: Baningime and Gana are great defensively with Davies also offering a box to box option. The others have done nothing this season
Attacking: Again, Vlasic and Davies have the running ability whilst Rooney of course has some goals and vision

Mirallas, Lennon, Schneiderlin, Besic, Klaassen I think they, along with McCarthy and Bolasie should be sold.

Sigurdsson I think we need to give games coming on as a sub for Rooney and see if he performs..if not, sell him.

We'd be left with
Vlasic, Lookman, Baningime, Gana, Davies, Rooney and perhaps Sigurdsson.

We'd need a box to box central midfielder and a winger and we'd look a lot better than the dross weighing down the squad now.

if he doesn't start playing soon then Unsworth will be for the high jump :o
