What an important set of 5 premier games coming up. Cp, saints, hammers and huddersfield and the others. Make or break season time in terms of getting out of this bottom 3 dog fight. Forget the euro matches. We should be sending our reserves out in those 2 but knowing everton we will send our strongest 11 out in europe to get a stack of injuries.

I would like to see us defending as a unit today, and not conceding chance after chance like we seemingly have been doing since the city game. Seems a big ask at the minute though

The 3 CB allows for a 2 striker setup mate, a necessity because none of the strikers are good enough to be a lone striker. It's actually a very attacking formation, thus the 2 DM are essential in that system.
It'll end up 7 at the back mate. Camped outside our box. Seen it so many times before. In the unlikely event Rooney stays up top there is still ni link to them. We'll be relying on set pieces against a set piece specialist team.

Don't think we're going to agree on this.:)

Any thoughts of playing Holgate in a back three or is it too negative?I just wonder if Holgate's pace could be useful against Zaha who worries me today.

I think Zaha can play in both wings, so if their system allows him to attack from either wing, then Holgate could end up marking Benteke. He's too light to be a CB for me, that is something he need to work on.

Well going on what this player was producing on the pitch for the first team ,this manager is clearly a poor judge of what it takes to be a first team player. Which going by the results and performances to date is unsurprising.
As a matter of interest, which professional football team do you manage? You are clearly a judge of some repute of what it takes to be a Premiership manager. :coffee:
