His was a "brainfade" apparently. Whereas today's evil conspiracy was premeditated and was akin to Guy Fawkes trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament.Wasn't Atherton caught doing the same thing? Give me the Aussie will to win instead of a team who gets bowled out for 58 when conditions where ermmm English. Oh no, a bit of swing, let's miss the ball....
didn't quite have the same level of planning that the aussies did, he did it himself, he didn't coerce a junior member to risk his reputation, a fai few differences, and in terms of winning no matter what that you applaud so loudly, well aussie cricket and english cricket have pretty much been on a even keel over the last decade, england doing it without incurring universal distaste from every other teamWasn't Atherton caught doing the same thing? You've really got a pretty biased slant on english cricket, been interesting to know what that is really about, we have won in aus more recently then they have in england, we have won a one day series in aus more recently than they have in england, it's been nip and tuck and I would say aus certainly have the better side now, and some fine bowlers. The big plus point for me is we have never had a captain force an 8 test novice to risk his reputation and career to win a test match, but don't let me stop your whatboutismWe beat them at home, they slaughter us away. We go on about the sledging. Broad and Anderson are great at sledging the Sri Lankans or Indians at home, where are they away at Australia? Where's hardman Stokes defending a 16 run last over against the Windies? Australia had a hard couple of years when all their stars retired yet came back absolutely firing. So much more to admire than the pathetic English schoolboy mentality.
