To be fair mate, Greg Chappell survived as Australian captain for another two years after instructing his younger brother to do this. I really don't think you need to be a moral saint to be cricket captain of Australia - in fact, the bigger snide you are, the more suited you are for the job I suspect. Indeed, but he was in on it as part of the (cough) 'Leadership Group' even if it wasn't his idea. So if Smith is sacked as he surely will be, Warner will lose the vice captaincy as well.

Just watched the video, the way Bancroft says "I saw the opportunity and took it" does seem to me that the whole team was involved.

I mean come on, an opening batsmen new to the side would be included in the 'leadership group' regarding bowling? Nah, not having that for one second.
