Cricket

We've had a better team than them for what, 4 years in the last 30? Nothing wrong in calling out the mentality of getting bowled out for under 60 in conditions that you've been brought up in.
I mean I agree to some small extent, and called out the difference in the ashes when the aussies are on top and stay on top compared to englands attitude of letting it slip, but clearly it's not a straight choice between getting skittled for 58 or premeditated cheating after spouting sanctimonious guff for about a year as smith did.

I'll add that jim maxwell was on tms last night before all this and he sounded non too pleased with his countrymen, saying the problems even worse in club cricket, and calling out the hypocritical behaviour of this aussie team, would love to know what he is saying now!

You've really got a pretty biased slant on english cricket, been interesting to know what that is really about, we have won in aus more recently then they have in england, we have won a one day series in aus more recently than they have in england, it's been nip and tuck and I would say aus certainly have the better side now, and some fine bowlers. The big plus point for me is we have never had a captain force an 8 test novice to risk his reputation and career to win a test match, but don't let me stop your whatboutism

Ashes tests since the turn of the millennium, 50 Ashes tests played, Australia won 27, England won 15, eight dawn. Even from my Kiwi anti-Aussie bias, it's pretty obvious Australia has continued to easily have the edge over England in Ashes cricket. And I won't even bring up the 1990's when McDermott, McGrath, Hughes and Warne regularly embarrassed utter piss-poor England teams.

Sorry to point that out to you, but yes, there is no doubt the Aussies have for a long time not exactly been the torch-bearers of cricketing sportsmanship.

Though it was the English who brought Bodyline into the cricketing lexicon in the 1930's......

...good to see a very smart Everton banner in the crowd and the TV camera focusing on it, ‘Wigan Toffees’.

The banner was in the crowd when I was at the game on Thursday. I should have gone over to have a chat about all things Everton, but was too busy celebrating English dismissals ;)
