Future England player for me. I hope he continues to develop as a genuine all-rounder rather than a batsman who bowls a bit.
Had to work hard to win on a good pitch but that's how it should be - a good solid team performance.
Credit to Kent for the pitch and Compton for his determination, while Qadri and Bird showed that it was still possible to bat even late on the final day. Pluses for Lancs: Croft's best innings for years; Vilas back to his best after a poor second half of last season; Salt batted and kept wicket well, apart from one stumping miss; Hasan Ali ran in well and hopefully will play all 6 games; Anderson should finally be allowed to play next week!
