Looks a similar to pitch to last season when Parkinson bowled somehow them out on the last day. That was a great win - they'll do well to do the same this time.

I agree with what you say but idont think he is in the right place of mind for it, it could just be another way to make a good performer reduce their performance level

Feel as if there’s something to be said about getting a specialist captain in. The same as the ODI did with morgan or Australia did with Payne (before transitioning to Cummings when things were settled)

that solution would fit best at the moment rather than risking one of the key best player's form, I dontwatch the county game enough to see who would fit that bill

Good to see the spin twins getting wickets. Hartley's bowling became very flat last season, probably due to his T20 success when firing the ball in - looked to be flighting it a bit more in the clips. Morley continues to impress and both could have a role for the first team this year, especially if Parkinson gets picked by England. Hurst is the young wicketkeeper/batsman who did ok last year - didn't keep in this game due to Lavelle.

Always good to see Liam Hurt do well - there are a number of players ahead of him and he might have to wait until the white ball stuff comes around to get a chance, but if he keeps taking wickets he might jump the queue. In truth I don't think he's quite good enough and wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan at some stage this season.
