Kohli managed it in the first innings. Saw off Anderson then accumulated against the rest...it is dying in England as the prevailing opinion seems to be to try and blast the opposition away in a day.

It isn't working and it hasn't for about 3 years.

There are still players who accumulate, but it's more about playing to conditions and the moment in the game. I can't think of a genuine ground out innings from an English batsman since Cook's 263 against Pakistan - which was 2015.

Someone needs to explain that a car has many gears, sometimes 1st and 2nd are your best option.

Absolutely. He seemed ideal. I hope he recovers some form as he's exactly what is needed.

Yeah we've only got smith here who can dig in on a regular basis but obviously he's suspended lol

I don't think I've ever seen such a topsy turvy Test match in a long time. One team gets ahead in the game and the other immediately fights back.

I'd say India are favourites but only by a very small margin. But if we can remove Kohli early on the favourites tag will which straight away switch to England.

Hopefully Jimmy will produce one of those deadly outswingers to get rid of him pronto.
