I know Gough had one poor decision where he gave it out when it was going down but that really was so surprising as it was he who actually got one wrong.
For my money Gough has been exceptionally good
Richard Kettleborough has been average with a few mistakes
Richard Illingworth has been exceptionally poor with a multitude of poor decisions, even when not overturned it's invariably umpire's call. A trigger finger if ever there was one.
Gough though really has had a tremendous series.
Umpire's first test Kettleborough and illingworth - standard very poor
Second test Gough and Illingworth - chalk and cheese really - Gough excellent, Illingworth nightmare
Third test - no Illingworth so prospects looked far better - one or two errors but nothing in the Illingworth class
