On a serious note I think a really good appointment. He has such a deep rooted connection to the area and club, he's got huge respect across the world, a brilliant man manager and will be hopefully allow Lancs to have a voice around cricketing culture rather than just commercial growth.

It was very popular at the AGM, same cannot be said about the rest of the board proposals. He got a superb reception and welcome from those present.

Quite a fiery meeting, I felt a bit sorry for Dame Sarah Storey trying to moderate, a lot of disgruntled members present and a significant proportion of members voting against the board or abstaining.

The new board have a lot to do to win over those disgruntled members, starting with a bit of contrition.
