Hmmm...Man U get 75k with a stadium that is one of the most poorly served by public transport for an urban area. It's a real conundrum, their success at getting 75k or thereabouts given the absence of a rapid transit stem.
Man U have won all in sight over the past 10 years. What if they went to mid-table? The 76,000s will dwindle to 50,000s.
Did you read this from the first post?
Rival club Tottenham, are to build a new stadium. They wanted to occupy the under construction Olympic stadium after the Olympics. But.. They wanted to engage in all this cost:
So rapid-transit rail can make a difference when done right as Arsenal have proven.
Spurs wanted to effectively build TWO stadia to get the site served by rapid-transit. The work to Crystal Palace is near to building a new stadium.- Pull down the 80,000 stadium directly after the 2012 games
- Extend the Crystal Palace athletics stadium in South London to give athletics a major venue.
- Built on the Olympic stadium site a new high revenue generating dedicated football stadium.
So rapid-transit rail can make a difference when done right as Arsenal have proven.
If we're going to split hairs, Arsenal's get 60k because of their relative success
Analysts have put it down to:
- The top class stadium
- The service of rapid-transit.
The two combined above enables Arsenal to compete at the top.
