I think this thread shows the lack of ambition killing this club.

Train station first off naturally, multi platform with links to the high speed European network, but why not then an international standard airport within 500 yards with moving walkways to the stadium. Once that's paid off by revenue generated say within two years the next logical step would be a cruise and ferry terminal. If we have to build the stadium inland we could create a canal with sufficient shipping capacity.

Top class stuff.

You know GP has got the second highest dispersal rate in the PL mate?

You missed it. The idea is to get them to and from a 65,000 stadium: fast, in comfort and easily from all over Merseyside - this will ensure high gates and revenues. The idea is not to disperse them after the game. It is to keep them in and enjoy top class facilities the club offer, who then take the profit for the club and players.

And if you think people support Man Utd becuase they can get home in comfort within an hour then you could write what you know about football on the back of a stamp. A fair portion of them drive hours to and from OT to go the game.

You are missing it:

  1. Everton looking for new stadium
  2. Everton need high revenues to compete
  3. Liverpool has a mass-transit network.

Use mass-transit network to ensure high revenues. It is there and waiting. Other clubs drool at what is on offer in Liverpool. That is no secret. That is common sense.

Everton are not Man U who totally overshadow Everton in success, so attract support. Everton need high revenues to even think of completing or reaching the level of Man U.

I couldn't agree more.

This is encouraging.

At Speke eh! Not bad.

You want the stadium on the Manchester Ship Canal? Interesting.

If someone was to sum this thread up in two sentences or less, how would that go?

Why aren't we beaming people into the stadium?

I want eight terminals of which six have direct access from Liverpool Central and Moorfields.

Now we're rolling, this man (assuming he is male) has allowed his understandable love of trains to limit his outlook upon the world. Is it too much to ask for a space launch centre by 2020 ?

Speke is for wimps lad, I want something like Newark or JFK constructed next to our new stadium in Bootle. Think big.

I like your attitudes. Fantastic.
