Right,

This thread has turned into a slanging match. I'm seeing way too much animosity towards each other.

They build a few new train lines or they don't...quite how some people can get to the point of sly digs and Internet war, is beyond me.

As for Inner-City linking a Dildo song from YouTube in response to my request that he stop telling people to [Poor language removed], no more of that or you'll be gone...

I love it when you're strict Muggs.

Inner-city why are you so passionate about the idea? What makes you so certain this would be the answer to a whole cities prayers?

Move your lips when you read, it is easier for you that way. :) :)

That might help you, but fortunately I don't need it. Only think that would help is you learning how to write proper English sentences.

The first post say it all. EFC, LFC and the city all gain BIG TIME! In short we all gain. Economic growth comes about. Do you want the city to remain depressed? It is still a poor city.

I find the negativeness of many appalling. It is a cancer that has wormed its way into the people of the city. In any other city, they would just run at the prospect of having a rapid-transit line recommissioned - and one that promotes their footy teams? If Liverpool was manchester, the lines would have been built years ago with City and United on it. In Liverpool?

It takes outsiders to see things and get things done. People with vision. The head of the Council's Transport Select Committee is a Geordie. He is wanting to get things moving. He can see it.

It's not negativity though it is realism. When you make things sound Spring field monorail appealing rather than presenting a balanced argument, you will be greeted with cynicism.

The issue for me was never cynicism. I don't mind people with left field views. My issue has always been the claim that the Council is fully pushing this issue. I've tried many times to ask Inner City to prove that this is the case. The only evidence that he has presented is an anonymous question that he claims to be Council policy.

He has not even chosen to provide information from a the meeting on 31st March (mentioned in his first post) which would prove his case. He's pushing a personal agenda which has little to do with the Council. if that is the case, we should judge future posts in that context, which I'm happy to do.

To prove his case he needs to do the following;

1. name the Councillor who posed the question in his first post (shown in blue - and no I'm not reposting it)

2. Show a link to the 31st March meeting (mentioned in first post) so that we can judge if the Council have indeed taken this on.

Until he does this, I think that edge has explained the issue more clearly, and its not as black and white as Inner City would have us believe. Finally, its strange that neither LFC or Everton Football Club have reported this on their website, or even in their recent fans conference. Perhaps they didn't get the memo.

PS I'm not re-posting Inner Cities first post, sorry, too much nonsense in it.

I gave you the link to the Council's web site. You thought the 1st post was about a shared stadium. So why should I take you seriously?
