We only have ourselves to blame, we clamored for cheaper TVs, phones etc, knowing all along that it was basically slave labor and in some cases child labor. That made these items so cheap.

I'm not even talking about the billionaires here who maliciously profited. We have to turn the mirror on ourselves. As consumers. We're all complicit.

And because of our disregard for basic civil rights, liberties and working conditions that was sacrificed on the alter of consumerism there's a price to pay. It's now taking it's pound of flesh.

That cheap monitor, phone, TV or whatever you're reading this on, well guess what? For all our smug, self-entitled lives, karma is coming a knocking. And it's exacting it's toll. Payback is a bitch.

With regards to the situation here in Ireland.The country has been put on lockdown, for two weeks from midnight tonight.Community transmitions here are now at 51%.It's now out of control in the USA, while there is still people dying by the hundreds in Italy.I don't know how this will pan out, will my friends and family still be alive at the end of this.But i do know this is a grave situation, and i fear it's going to get a hell of a lot worse, before it gets better.

Worrying times indeed for us all.I think today was the day, where it finally hit home to me that this country, is in serious trouble.But i think the whole world is in trouble really.These are scary times, but i wish everyone here all the best, and hopefully the vast majority of us, will come through this period still alive, and with our family and friends still alive and well.Im pretty scared tbh, but we're all in the same boat here.

It seems that there are a few clusters in Nursing homes in ireland
The median age of those that died each day seems to confirm that nursing homes are being hard hit

I don't know if this is already posted esrlier but at 11.30 am the Irish Government banned all indoor gatherings of more than 100 and all outdoor of more than 500.

This affects Church services including weddings and funerals as well.

All schools and colleges closed from 6.30 pm.

GAA and League of Ireland have suspended all training and matches.

Initially all of these measures are until 29th March.

My belief is this virus will get a lot worse before any improvement and vaccine believed to be at least 12 months away according to Deputy CMO.

I don't understand what UK Government is waiting for.

This was dated the 12th March.

UK schools did not close until 20th March.

I don`t know mate, as there`s so much " tin foil hat " stuff out there at the mo, it`s becoming increasingly very difficult to tell what`s real and what isn`t.

It wouldn`t surprise me if it was true though.

If you are tracking what's going on here. This virus, ignores boundaries. It doesn't care about your political beliefs or ego-eccentric opinions. From the beginning, I've advocated testing and ensuring that our front line healthcare professionals get the the equipment they need.

And this "herd immunity" Called that for the callous, inhumane nonsense it was. This is isn't about being right or scoring points, it's about informing people about the dangers this pandemic poses.

So get of your high horse and your point scoring there's more important matters at hand.

The PPE suits looked good quality bio hazard type.

I was more asking whether you think they are making money out of it, perhaps even profiteering. My view is definitely to the former, quite possibly to the latter.
