I’m not sure we know enough to defend either side of the argument atm......

Thats my feelings at the moment - until the antibody tests are given to the general public we cant tell how devastating this thing is.

Any death is obviously a tragedy but deaths are inevitable with illness its determining how deadly this thing actually is in comparison to how many it infects before we have a clearer picture of how long this pandemic is likely to last for.

Fair comment.

But I'd say 90% of the people who live in this village are older then even me. Most probably can't walk very far. Most will be over 70 so need to socially distance, but also need exercise. You would have them walk around the village where there is less opportunity to socially distance, rather than get in a car and drive a mile to where they can socially distance to their hearts content.

The police around here will know that. It isn't like people were flocking there. The car park has enough space for maybe 100 cars and there were 6. And as I said it services miles and miles of footpaths and land.

People here aren't all taking the piss. They just aren't 26 and fit as a fiddle like you.

Update on my brother. His covid-19 test came back clear, and the doctors decided to push on with his chemo.

Not sure how I feel about this tbh. My brother's upbeat about it and they did discuss it with him first and he agreed to go ahead. But obviously, the thought of him being in a building swimming with coronavirus whilst his immune syndrome is wiped out fills me with dread. I know they'll be taking every precaution possible, and all visitors apart from the approved medical staff are banned.

My comment really was that It’s difficult to really understand the problems of age while still in your 20’s...what may appear a small incline to yourself can appear as a mountain for those with knee, hip, lung or heart problems, but they still need fresh air and exercise....

Because walking around a national park is automatically easier to walk around than a village? I just think it’s ludicrous people have to drive anywhere to walk somewhere; completely defeats the object of walking.
