Thanks Goat for that. Friend of mine told me that his pregnant daughter and 3 year old granddaughter caught Covid and we're taken to hospital as a precaution. His granddaughter was given a heart MRI, just in case. They spent two weeks in hospital and we're only let out last Saturday. Scary stuff.Remember Corona tho?
I know its not over and im very aware that thousands possibly still die each week globally.
But remember it, im not afraid to admit, it terrified me, I was totally in the "its just a flu" camp, then I heard about a fella who was the same age as me, somebody I saw a few weeks before who was the picture of health, had just become a Grandad and it just knocked me for 6. It took me a while to get over that.
Then fear, not for me, I made my peace, but fear for my parents, my children, somebodies else parents.
The lockdowns, the way we treated the health service like Royalty, rightly so!
It made me value life, everything we take for granted family, liberty, living without fear. So yeah, I remember Corona, I doubt its something people of our era will ever forget.
Tested positive for it this morning, man flu type symptoms so far. Hopefully not get any worse.
Was picking up wee girl from nursery and started shivering etc, remembered the mother in law tested pos on Saturday.
Fecking mother in laws!!
Look on the bright side, not one person died of flu during the last two winters.Remember Corona tho?

Popcorn? For a celebration? Open the champagne more like, flu killed between 15,000- 50,000 people a year in Britain but happily its now a thing of the past. ?
