I don't know for sure but I thought it must have meant something. Mine was a thick red line for the first couple of times I tested, then got very faint, then disappeared a couple of days later when I was clear. I felt much more sick when the line was thicker, and was pretty much fine when it was only a faint red line.

Yeah I was always under the impression thick line was at the beginning when you were at your most ill, then gradually faded over the week or so.

Felt really rotten for 2-3 days after testing positive, then it eased to a combination of mega hangover / rotten cold which then gradually eased again in tandem with the line becoming fainter.

I’ve tested a few times in the last couple of days hoping for a neg result, knowing that I still have minor cold like symptoms, but the tests still showed faint pos until today’s neg.

Hopefully you get to the neg stage quicker.

Ah, that sounds grim. I've just had some flu symptoms but nothing too bad so far, more achy than anything else to be honest. Good to see you're out the other end now mate!

How can we ever get herd immunity when people just keep getting reinforced? Would be a whole lot better if this stupid thing was a one and done at least then we would know it would end eventually

Its such a weird situation. I'm more than happy to live with it, but I know many are not/can't. I'm starting to think those who do care should actually be given some sort of priority over those of us who don't, I just don't know what the answers are. I don't think masks on their own is the answer IF the aim is to reduce transmission. Not sure what else could be used though as there's only one thing proven to hugely reduce transmission and that's lockdowns.

Is much of Europe still under restrictions?

Imagine what it would be like if no one had vaccinations. Vaccinations are stopping the hospitals and morgue filling up don't you think ?

As cruel as this sounds and as flawed as "Just get on with it" is, the only option left currently is just get on with it.

We closed down, we then got vaccines, which of course arent 100%, but whats next? Close down again?

At the end of the day you’re not going to stop human beings dying unfortunately. Would be funny if they tried to put us into lockdown or unnecessarily close businesses again though, I’d like to see them try that one.

When I said idiots it was referring to those NOT wearing them. As expected, loads not wearing them and not observing distancing. Even some check out operators. I know it must be very uncomfortable wearing them for hours on end, and they are behind screens, so I can have sympathy.

Annoyed when clowns with no mask come right beside me. Still holding my temper and have not reacted verbally although I have given my notorious glare.

I get your mask rage, I was the same, but honestly, take a look at how most people wore them, they are totally ineffective the way the Western world used them.

Not at all. See my previous posts in this thread for my opinions on the vaccines. Never at any point suggested they don’t work, but I don’t understand where people are coming from when they demand we tighten restrictions despite having an effective vaccine inside 90% of the population, on top of natural immunity seeing as most of the population have had the virus.
