He wasn't blaming the staff being sick for ffs.Terrible people trying to blame staff sickness, all the data is showing huge increases in the over 60s being admitted to hospital. With yet Christmas and New year period to come into play. So its now staff sickness that puts people in hospital no depths some will go to protect the government narrative.
Good vid
Off topic slightly but, we discussed on here the other day, where the line is drawn at misinformation.
So, I have no horse in this race at all, it was just rt'd onto my timeline. And if you look at the comments to that video, it's people saying they are reporting C-Span, a news network, for covering a news story.
Whether the person in the video is lying or not, this is a very dangerous game because that's what this type of thinking can create.
It'd be like us lot reporting BBC News for posting Benitez's pressers and the BS he spouts in them.
(On second thought, maybe we could all try that last bit)
I'm not saying that it's true mate, I think it's drivel myself. But people shouting and screaming about misinformation for a news network covering this news conference is my point. Like I said, if we did that, you'd have to ban/report any news network that has ever covered an interview or news conf in which someone has lied. The problem with this "logic" is that the Republicans were in charge of the executive branch at the time. So, for this claim to be true, someone inside Justice or the FBI had to be running an op directly contravening the interests of the president.
Seeing how Trump had just incited the riot shortly prior, I have a hard time picturing the person running the op saying, "Yes, this will make him look bad, and screw the innocents that will die. Execute Operation StormCapitol." That requires some brave on-the-fly thinking, seeing how if you got caught running that op both sides would probably want to execute you for treason.
That said, this is explicitly political speech and dangerous First Amendment territory from a censorship standpoint. The problem is that there are people poorly educated enough to buy this nonsense. One of the core assumptions of representative democracy is that the electorate broadly can reason, and sort truth from fiction. We seem to have jumped that shark.
The vaccine issue results largely from the same problem.
The media have a duty to report the truth. As this study shows, the mainstream media can play a key role in the spread of misinformation.I'm not saying that it's true mate, I think it's drivel myself. Give him a tennis racquet and a ball and he'll be quite happy.I see Djokovic’s mom is now giving interviews making it sound like he’s a political prisoner being held at Guantanamo Bay as opposed to a guy who lied on his visa application and is being forced to stay in a hotel. Spare me.
Of course they do. But they also have a duty to cover news events and this is one of them. The media have a duty to report the truth. As this study shows, the mainstream media can play a key role in the spread of misinformation.
