I can work remotely from home but my employer has not said anything yet
so do I just stay in and work from home tomorrow then?
Should put the pressure on your employer.
I'd stay at home.

"we will stop all gatherings of more than two people in public – excluding people you live with" So when I go for the bus there will only be the driver and me. As that is a social gathering. Unbelievably stupid imbecile. Labour needs to put a motion of no confidence in him tomorrow. Get this dangerous buffoon out before he does any more damage to the people of this country..
I repeat my question from yesterday- is Whitty still in that post? Not to mention Cummings.
He's not completely stupid then.Still refusing to close non essential companies, therefore people will be forced to go to work. Inconsistent and incoherent.
To ensure compliance with the Government’s instruction to stay at home, we will immediately:
- close all shops selling non-essential goods, including clothing and electronic stores and other premises including libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship;
- we will stop all gatherings of more than two people in public – excluding people you live with;
- and we’ll stop all social events, including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies, but excluding funerals.
Don't be fooled by that opportunistic arsehole. One of the most insincere specimens on this planet.
So many holes in his statement it's ridiculous, it needs to be foolproof right now not this tosh.
No work unless you are a key worker or working from home, no going out unless you are going for essentials. Take the power out the hands of the employers who will not shut until they absolutely have to leaving employees not wanting to risk their jobs and going in.
Zero accountability from our media by the way. Two weeks ago it was all “herd immunity” and this is how we get it right.
Now, we’ve fallen in line with everyone else purely because it is the right thing to do - as it was two weeks ago.
Idiots in the street or not, the true muppets are the ones pulling the strings.
Erm no lad you mean the bus driver and ME.
You're walking m8.
What I can picture is everyone deciding to go the park for exercise , finding someone there before them and looking confused as the next people with the same idea walk up behind them."Parks will remain open for exercise but gatherings will be dispersed". Parks will be overrun with people. This is his red line, not for turning. But none of this will 'squash the sombrero'.
There's about 20 bobbies for my area of 125 thousand people - they'll be dealing with actual criminals
What harm does going for a drive do anyway!? I was counting on that to keep me sane
Ye exercise is a fair one, but you know people will take the piss and be out all day, look at last weekend. Near enough impossible to police how long people have been out for.Not really.
People need to be allowed out for exercise. That is essential to being healthy and you know what, if you do get this virus you're better off being healthy.
People can't be cooped inside like prisoners.
Any business that isn't key and not now allowing remote working (which any business which isn't key should be set up for, because the ones that aren't (i.e. shops, cafes etc are shut) should be fined.
