Are they expecting empty roads from now on? Especially of a night? Like if it was around 12 o clock will they just on the spot fine people for being out?

I'm sure there is measures in place police wise but curious how they will enforce it.

I blame the government for making up their own medical advice (contrary to nearly every other country) and letting it get this far - along woth not testing and providing proper equipment to peolle on the front line.

I don't see what people are finding difficult to understand about going to work.

If you can work from home, then do so. If you can't, unless what you do is essential in the fight against the virus - stay at home. I guess there are questions about what is essential, but they pretty much already answered those with the key worker definitions with regards to school places.

Sleeping a lot as per hardly go out much anyway - just listening to LBC social gathering in most places in the parks resorts etc - one guy walking his dog just seen the public playing mixed tennis doubles on a tennis court FFS - Martial Law needs to be started ASAP........ignorance will not beat this virus......

I wonder how they will enforce it during the day? They won't be pulling everyone over I'd imagine for being on the road. So people can technically still travel about in a car.

In fact generally , can't see them doing anything unless you are walking around town during the day like a tit. Come nightfall then sure , much easier to pull people over and deal with them.

Don't laugh, but I joined Twitter two weeks ago after a lifetime of swearing I'd not go near that or Facebook. I then saw first hand that yes, he has a loud voice, but also that he is a hedonistic, argumentative for the sake of it, nibshit who just treats those with a counter opinion with scorn. I blocked him after a week. When my gym was open, the tv screens surrounding the gym were on and you could only see the screens without the volume. So that comic programme GMT was bearable by not being to hear what cack he was coming out with.

Germany only did the 2-people gathering thing yesterday mate.

Not saying we shouldn't have been acting quicker, but Italy hadn't gone into full lockdown this time two weeks ago. Neither had France, Netherlands or Germany.

They were all too slow to act. Doesn't excuse our mob or their initial attempted method but nobody did the right thing two weeks ago.

Which is why after all of this is over, whenever this is, they all need to be held to account for not doing more.

So many holes in his statement it's ridiculous, it needs to be foolproof right now not this tosh.
No work unless you are a key worker or working from home, no going out unless you are going for essentials. Take the power out the hands of the employers who will not shut until they absolutely have to leaving employees not wanting to risk their jobs and going in.
