So what do you want to happen?

I'm seeing my family over Christmas. I'm taking lateral flows daily or every two days depending on how many we have as I'm also seeing friends, some of whom I've not seen in two years.

People can do that, people can make the decision to do that themselves. You've got 1000s of businesses, 1000s of livelihoods, relying on Christmas after the state of last year. And all the support in the world wouldn't cover them all.

I want to be able to see my family at Christmas as well, but that could be at risk of not happening if I catch it at the supermarket from someone who caught it at a massive Christmas party the night before and I need to self-isolate. It’s spreading so quickly at the moment. If people want to see family etc, they’d want some measures in place so they’re not at risk of having to self isolate.

I’d be a big backer of the summer opening mate, it was the right play, we made the most stupid decision even opening up in Oct - lasted a month! I’ve said I’d so many times that this the risk profile of the virus is seasonal, I was saying in the summer that the winter would be difficult and here we are. I can tell you it’s going to be tricky until March.

My point based on the above was that the U.K. opened at the right time, but should have put in place mitigation/restrictions in Sep. Definitely well before last week. It’s really simple the risk of this changes between Spring/ Summer to Autumn/Winter. Governments just haven’t got it in my opinion.

Yeah I had 2 of the auld gnats piss, then got Pzifer last week. Couple of days of feeling tired, and also had a bit of nausea as well, which I didn’t get with AZ. But nothing major.

I got the same as you and I was thinking last night "what if they really did just give us 2 doses of gnats piss"

Okay, so you could also take steps like ordering to home etc (I know, it's annoying). Or you could catch COVID from going the shop and getting it from a nurse who works in hospital and is boosted so asymptomatic... there's just no way of knowing is there.

To add to this, worth watching the entire video. I've just checked up the data and he is right - 65 people currently in hospital in the UK with Omicron confirmed.

Keep in mind Omicron has been here what, 2-3 weeks at least, and is spreading like wildfire - 65 people...

To add to that, I know it will grow, and grow sharply. Hopefully not too sharply and to too big of numbers.

Is it generally Ptizer that is being used as the booster?

I've had 2 peasant AZ jabs so far, no idea what I'm booked for on Monday.

I had Moderna as my booster after two AZ’s - was a bit tired for a couple of days afterwards but that’s about it.

No, but I’m in essence risk assessing my own activities and probably doing way more than most who will be more likely to be spreading this.
