I find it heartwarming in all honesty, good to see even a small gesture as an act of a caring society. We sometimes forgot the vocal tools crying about wearing a mask on the train or showing a QR code or showing up in hospitals with their 'lawsuits', are not actually a majority, they are just very loud and annoying

The evidence is literally in the hospitals now.

If that isn't good enough then not sure anything would convince you.

There are folk in hospital with covid who have been jabbed, but they are a minority versus unjabbed. My understanding is that they are the all too familier "at risk" groups though. In the main.

I do have some sympathy with your view re the 28 day since a positive test thing though.

Wonder if it is an area thing.
Just popped to Tesco, get the dogs steak and mask wearers were in the minority. Most of the staff weren't bothering either. It's a decent enough area as well. Not exactly the riff raff of the country.
I would say I can't have seen .more than 5 maybe 6. A lot with masks on their chin though. If that makes any difference.

How come staff don't bother when it is legally mandatory? customers I understand as they don't work for anybody while shopping, but the staff?

I guess a lot of people have been wearing them on and off anyway. Not religiously, but maybe if they've had one on them or in the car or whatever they've popped it on to go to the shops or whatever.

I agree, kind of, on getting rid of it in the first place, but then again there would be the grey area that there is now and people going well if they have to wear them in a supermarket why not in a pub or at a gig etc.

No, its not good enough - and you've still not presented any evidence, just said something over and over again.

Nobody sensible is saying we should ignore it.

But wearing masks when required, everybody (or vast majority) going and getting double jabbed and booster vaccinations, isolating, testing, isolating and testing to go abroad etc. This is all happening. Nobody is ignoring it.

I don't know a single person who is panicking. Everyone is just getting on with things. Mask wearing is being followed by me and everyone seems relaxed about the situation. Are there lots of people panicking around you?

Just finished the 5 hour Wagnerathon and everyone was masked up throughout. Good as gold.

In fact generally reading up, many of the ICU beds are taken up by younger people across the country with the common factor being unvaccinated.

Generally speaking , reading across different outlets, the only way a patient gets to ICU with the vaccine is through their age and frailty , which means it's not covid specifically that's the issue. Great article about it from a couple of weeks back, didn't link it just because it's an anonymous writer and therefore not 'credible' despite being published.

ill keep saying it, the vaccine works , the evidence is all over the country , based on some results , around the world as well. If we had 100% rate of vaccination/boosted , evidence shows right now that ICU beds would be only occupied by those who need them for other means.

Probably cause I don't ever recall seeing a copper around the area. So who exactly is going to collar them about it. Plus when you get your employer saying they are not going to enforce it on customers, I suppose staff are saying nah, I'm good. Most of them are young kids doing there Saturday job. But even seen what appears to be a manager with a mask around his chin.

I actually had a ridiculous scenario today.
So, took the little one to see Santa in the middle of nowhere. In one of those big garden lodge style shed room thingies???.
Anyway. Gets there. When you go in, can you put your mask on? Sure, no worries. Then they follow it with you can all get in a picture if you want with Santa and can take your mask off.

So. We go in, standing a bit away and letting the little one see Santa, us wearing our masks. Then we stand next to Santa and get to take our masks off. Mind boggles.
But his elf, jingles, was a stunner. So it's all good.

Or you could just admit that when you (twice) said there were no seriously ill with COVID patients who had been double vaccinated, that you were making it up.
