Or you could just admit that when you (twice) said there were no seriously ill with COVID patients who had been double vaccinated, that you were making it up.

I'm only making it up if you disregard the notion that they are there for reasons other than covid.

But then that is going down the rabbit hole of nobody gets ill/sick/any other condition related to age or otherwise.

Crazy that at the start of the pandemic the discussion would be based around whether it is serious or not. Now it's turned into whether anyone in ICU just so happen to have had their vaccines or a blanket vaccinated people are in ICU.

It's almost like deniability, almost being the key term. Given the number of people in the country who have had their vaccinations and 18 million? Triple jabbed. At some point someone who is vaccinated ends up seriously ill in hospital. Without a necessary reason to link the two, other than a conspiracy theory level of forcing the two coincidental points together.

Vaccine works , it's doing its job and the real world is reflecting that.

As for the rest, again noone in this part of the debate has actually said the vaccines don't work - they do, but they do not completely eliminate the risk from catching COVID, getting seriously ill with it or dying of it. Saying that is happening is not a conspiracy theory; saying that it isnt happening probably is.

I don't know a single person who is panicking. Everyone is just getting on with things. Mask wearing is being followed by me and everyone seems relaxed about the situation. Are there lots of people panicking around you?

I don’t see panic anywhere, hardly any mask wearing either to be honest. No one honestly cares about the virus itself anymore, the restrictions etc are the sideshow now.

They do completely eliminate getting seriously ill from covid, there is plenty out there over the last month that tells us this for a fact.

Like I said , tying the two together is straw clutching. Because people sick with covid are young , there is so many accounts about this knocking about. Anyone else going to ICU and testing positive are old and frail , with other underlying issues that have led them there.

If you don't want to accept this for an alternative we are never going to be safe then fair enough. But it means we will never be safe , the vaccine will never 'work" and restrictions should really be in place until the day covid goes away, whether that's next week or next century.

Otherwise there is never a protection that will stop people going to ICU and dying, if the vaccine doesn't do the root purpose then humanity is never safe.

Credit where credit is due.

Got my booster yesterday, actually took me early as I’m a stickler for time and parked up well in advance. Kids got theirs on Thursday night in a local shopping centre.

The staff are knackered, just a constant queue. The coffee shops are dropping in drinks and buns to them and that’s great. It felt like a real community effort and it was a positive experience for what is a Godsend for us punters.

I haven't seen panic since around mid year 2020.. The news channels do sound a wee bit panicky, but rightfully so. it is still a pretty serious situation/

So if they are both saying the same thing why did you use 1 to attempt to debunk the other? You clearly hadn't read the article I posted had you?
I simply said that more and more are claiming that the new variant is showing mainly mild cases and that if confirmed it would be a good idea to let it spread..
Or should we lock down a mild variant out of existence because a few more already extreamly sick people might die?
