Children aren't getting very sick from this and aren't a burden on hospitals, leave schools open let them gain their natural immunity over time.. why have we gone back to case numbers being the most important metric? Hospital numbers have been going down for the past fortnight yet there is restrictions being reintroduced due to numbers.. the vunerable have had their boosters and its showing in hospital figures.

If they are shutting the country down to protect this age group god help us unless you enjoy our new normal.Personally I think we are are entering a worrying phase of the pandemic for anyone unvaccinated, like children. There is worrying annotatal reports emerging around Omicron and Children (unvaccinated), we need to get creative, more cautious and start our vaccine programme with children. Additionally we have evidence that natural immunity doesn’t offer much protection against Omicron.
