I had mine yesterday afternoon,

I had mine yesterday afternoon, my arm is still sore but no other side effects.
Anyone going I got advised to - choose the arm the side you don't sleep on - plus let your arm go limp as if you deliberately let your arm drop to touch the floor - this can solve the problem of getting a sore arm later ...

25% of under 30s in NI are not vaccinated. Add in the slow pace of the booster roll out (my own is overdue) and hospitals already working to capacity and something has to change or we are sleep walking back into it all again.

Hopefully the new Covid cert requirement for hospitality will get the vaccination rates where we really do need them.
We cant restrict those of us who did go and get vaccinated just because a small minority didn't.

I dont see how a covid app stops covid. I find it a baffling policy to be honest.

I dont even know what they will mean by fully vaccinated. If it means including boosters then I cant get a booster for about 3 more months. I only got jab 2 in August.

What restriction? To have to flash your phone for 5 seconds to gain entry to hospitality? I mean like I did my own today, took 10 mins and that’s it done for good.

No one is saying the App stops Covid but it will push the under 30s over the line to get jabbed and by extension increase societal immunity.

As far as I’m aware unvaccinated can still access hospitality under the policy but will have to provide proof of negative LF test within previous 48 hours or proof of a previous positive PCR test within a certain time period.

Sounds like it will be a fairly complicated scheme to enforce but suppose we’ll wait and see how it goes.

Yeah I think that’s the case myself. Also think the wee card you got at vaccination is proof enough.

Fully expect the ‘work from home if you can’ message to be reinforced over the next week or so as well.

There are unvaccinated people of all ages. I fall into under 30s and almost everyone I know is vaccinated.

Its going to be so hard to implement and enforce. There will obviously be issues.

Even thinking about people like my granny who doesn't use a smart phone. Is she going to be stopped from getting a cup of tea in the cafe because she can't show an app to prove she is vaccinated? They surely will need to allow the cards as well

I dont see how it works practically. We need to be sensible.

Its going to be very difficult to enforce. And its even more regulation for businesses when a lot of them are struggling and need a good run up to Christmas.

Under 30 is the highest percentage of unvaccinated but I fully accept that all ages have declined it for whatever reason.

Near sure cards will be allowed and there is already a facility (via phone) to request a paper copy.

It just has to work like any ID check but we have 13 days to figure all this out ?

Covid passports in Northern Ireland. Can someone please explain to me how this will help. There is no evidence i see of it working anywhere.

And I am not against vaccines. I couldn't be anymore in favour. I am however against pointless regulation that will hurt business and jobs for no benefit that I can see.

I dont like what is happening.
The only reason it's happening is to get those not vaccinated to get vaccinated.

What’s the deal with the Covid pass pal? I’m heading up to Belfast a few weeks before Xmas, will they accept the EU passes?

I’d say they will alright. Failing that you can apparently show proof of a negative lateral flow within previous 48 hours. Keep an eye on the NI Direct website for details before you come up.
