It's been said before but people forget that people die in their thousands each week when looking at hundreds like it's a significant increase. But in that sense people forget that the world is not the innocent and good natured one you would like it to be , even on the face of helping.
It wouldn't surprise me if things were covered up, so much is is covered up , people these days just choose which ones to believe and to disregard.

It will be dismissed as anti vax propaganda even if its true. There's almost no point now in kicking up a fuss even if it is true - most people have taken it and the rest will fall into line when they can't do anything. Do people really want to know that safety trials were compromised of the thing they've already taken two of and will be taking more of?
I'd read into all this before I took it so I was more than aware what I was getting myself into but for many who didn't, after the shock that its not actually the end of the pandemic I don't think people need more worry put on them

ironically the death toll from this in the UK is in the same ballpark as for both atomic bombings, so perhaps we should be taking this a bit more seriously

Yeah exactly.
I've always had reservations about getting the vaccination from the get go. I didn't buy into the whole red tape for it being so quick to test compared to usual, although red tape is existent. Many different drugs / jabs also take years because of extensive testing , several trials , different focus groups etc. They get refined , improved and all the rest of it.
The difference this time is that instead of getting paid to test the vaccine we have all just went ahead and got it. Which given the rare side effects that exist, shows you these genuine side effect drugs are pushing the boundaries of possibility in comparison!
Whether the needs demanded it, the vaccine was never tested fully and I'm sure there is plenty we aren't aware of that cut corners to get it out across the world.
