Sorry to hear what you went through. But tbh, I wouldn't mind if people did that, sounds like they are taking their own precautions. Covid is still the biggest story in the world at the moment, its still killing a lot of people by the day and impacting other people in various ways.

I find some people are offended by any reporting at all of it. For example, the tweet earlier where he complains about the media reporting rising cases when there is rising cases, or reporting rising deaths when there are rising deaths. Some is sensationalist I agree, but most of what I have seen is just reporting the figures from the latest data. I personally think it's good to remind people we're not out of the woods yet, its still a factor in our day to day lives and it is good to take healthy precautions, particularly in the winter months. Maybe you need to just stop reading the news for a while

I have mate, the only news Channel I watch now is on Channel 4.

They`re the only ones ( imo ) who are reporting on it with impartiality and no agenda.

It just winds me up no end, to see some of the media outlets, going out of their way, to scare the living daylights out of the elderly and vulnerable.

You get a really good across the board opinion, lots of insightful articles, great insight from people who work in hospitals and are dealing with it first hand and up to date news on any new drugs/vaccines that are getting tested/trialled worldwide.

There really isn't any need to look anywhere else imo. Just pop in here daily and there's always something of interest to me.

That’s not what it says though. It says 8 out of 10 people say they have worn a mask outside their home in the past 7 days. If there is more context in the article then fair enough, I’m just going off the quoted statement. I don’t think it is mad to think that 8 out of 10 people have worn a mask at some point in the last 7 days.

There is absolutely no way this is true. None. Just goes to show self-reported surveys/stats are next to worthless.

The reality is almost the complete opposite.

Talking about masks this morning and a lad i work with said and i quote "If you can smell a fart through a pair of undies and jeans what good is a paper mask going to do"

The great thing about face masks is I can do my Barry Gibb Bee Gees falsetto singing anytime, any place, anywhere and no one knows it's me.

If that's not an incentive to wear one then I don't know what will persuade you all.
