If you want proof of fear mongering , this 100k cases a day nonsense.

Apart from the fact they keep rolling that line out and it never happens.

It's impossible to happen. For that to happen you need not only everyone in the country to catch covid, for those who have caught covid to catch it again within a time frame that isn't possible and for everyone to come into contact with each other within a short space of time.

Even if you had 100k cases a day, the likelyhood of them translating into actual sickness and hospital cases is negligible at best because most of the population have the damn vaccine. By the winter there will be millions of boosters in peoples arms as well re protecting those who need protecting.

This is what gets on my nerves now all this time later. Just nonsense being spewed out without telling people the truth.

Thing about 50 million vaccines delivered is that it doesn't leave much room for non vaccinated going into hospital and that is all you have left now. Eventually that figure runs out and by catching covid , you get the same or similar result to having the vaccine in the first place.

Entire country could be antibodied up or practically immune to covid by the winter. Restrictions were always going to come into force because common sense dictated them. Just be honest about it and not try and scare 50 million people who got off their arse and got the vaccine.

Good points, I said this a couple of weeks ago that with all these ‘new cases’ eventually they will run out of people, they must be very close to the number of the unvaccinated so then they can’t blame them people anymore. Then what?? New variant time is it?
That’s why I don’t believe the figures getting published, how many of the vaccinated and and unvaccinated have had it over the past 18 months?? So even without a vaccine the numbers would tumble after a spike due to herd immunity, but now we should expect ‘100,000’ new cases a day with 50mil people vaccinated?? It doesn’t make sense and is it any wonder why people are sceptical over this?
Like I said yesterday there’s 2 things for me

1. The vaccine’s poor very poor
2. They’re making the numbers up as they go along and we’re getting lied to by a government that well….lies every single day so it’s no shock.

The media will thrive off this and will push for another lockdown in 4-6 weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the USA change their mind about allowing UK residents to enter.

They could be in a sticky situation too once vaccines start to wane. I know it runs against the grain of populism this thread very much leans into, however many EU members didn't use AZ as much, not like we did anyway and are now forewarned when it comes to running out boosters. I suspect they won't make our mistake.

They may do. However, parts of the kingdom have been red listed while others have had access. I know for anecdotal reasons, which happens to be fact Denmark red listed all English citizens while allowing Welsh for a time. Think it's a bit of stretch blaming our media on decision that other sovereign nations make, "delusions of grandeur ideation". Amusing!
