I do find it funny though Bruce.

The government were going to introduce these vaccine passports. They were going to be in place. And then the media all kicked off, as did Labour, because apparently it wasn't right.

And yet, now it's all 'ooooo look what France are doing, why don't we do that?'

Sick of it.

I haven't read the news on this so don't know the stories you refer to, but no one really bats an eyelid about needing a vaccine passport to travel abroad (and to wear a mask throughout your flight), and yet we get our knickers in a knot should we need to use either thing domestically. If I need to show a passport to travel to CZ next month then I'll gladly do so if the alternative is that travel is stopped and we don't see the family for several more months.

Well no; in fact what your calling for here is more lockdowns and more restrictions.

We do not live in normal times, and people need - for everyone’s benefit - need to adjust their lives accordingly.

That doesn’t need to be much (wearing masks when necessary, getting tested when ill, not going to work or out socialising when ill unless they’ve been cleared by a test) and the more people do the easy things the less likely it is that we’re all going to end up with more severe measures coming in.

Instead people are saying we’ve got to live with a hundred dead a day, as if that’s all it is going to be.

If the vaccines work and with the amount of the population that have had then injection then it will be around the numbers we have now, regardless of how many new cases we have. Or like youve said if we start going into the hundreds and hundreds per day then vaccines aren’t working?

Boris Johnson has royally fukd this

England just let go of all restrictions in July on the back on the over promised vaccine "game changer" and the gullible lapped it up. Its important to get vaccinated but its by no way near end of anyone with an ounce of responsibility during this pandemic, that has never been clear with Boris and chums since vaccination came in.

Westminster Government should have continued with mask wearing and building ventilation. Life could continue pretty normal.

We are already having to ask individuals to consider isolation because of this and getting the booster into the most vulnerable its death sentence having to go into NHS with this illness again they just cant cope with it all. And more people are going to die unnecessarily.

Lots of people round my way had volunteered at the vaccine centers marshaling who were on furlough, all gone now and desperate for replacements.

I agree that this year they will probably need to bring masks back in some areas but I do think its possible to have a relatively normal life once vaccination schedules are worked out.

A huge percentage of the problem is caused by unvaccinated. Especially kids, and that is tough to resolve as a lot of people are against child vaccinations.

Not really its a simple case of looking to other measure that we know that reduce transmission, think many people need educating in common sense.

Kids aren’t going to hospital if they get it plus majority of kids aren’t vaccinated so they aren’t the problem now.

I'd be shocked if indoor events like concerts continue throughout this winter with just masks as a measure - surely they aren't THAT good for people packed in that close for that long (ventilation isn't going to be in for this winter, most don't have windows in those spaces and it doesn't sound cheap to sort the proper systems). 1 in 3 jobs in the music industry lost to the pandemic, they're on a knife edge and that's just one example

The French system is something we should absolutely copy - it’s easy, simple and doesn’t cause undue delays.

Do you not remember all the uproar in the summer when it was announced mate? And Starmer saying in Parliament that it wasn't on?
