Aye but I'm off to a gig next week for the first time in 18 months and couldn't be happier. Can't wait to get back to a match etc.

Are they doing indoor events such as concerts in Portugal?
If this website is correct it appears so.
1. GENERAL RULES in the entire country, from October 1st:

- Restaurants with no maximum limit of people per group;
- End of requirement for digital certificate or negative test for access to restaurants;
- End of timetable restrictions;
- End of capacity limits, namely in local commerce establishments, in weddings and baptisms and in cultural shows;
- Opening of bars and clubs;
- End of limitation on the sale and consumption of alcohol.

It is mandatory to present EU COVID Digital Certificate in:

- Major cultural and sporting events (check the event website for more info);
- Bars and clubs;
- Visits to health facilities;
- Travel by air or sea

Hospital figures - 37 deaths were announced today, no data to compare to from yesterday but it is up 13 on last Monday. 11 deaths were in English hospitals, again no data to compare to from yesterday but it is down 1 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 102.86

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 45 deaths were announced today, down 12 on yesterday and up 17 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 123.71

For the 60 day cut off, 48 deaths were announced today, down 23 on yesterday and up 13 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 149.86

I'm not going to argue his points as I haven't read a lot in the area, but he lost me a bit when he's comparing an IM injection to placing central lines and pericardiocentesis.

Bigger issue is needle length and injection technique for me. I've seen vaccine clinics and it's all the same needle. You need a different needle for a thin elderly patient than you do some 30 year old hoss.
Yeah, you'd think that wouldn't you! :eek:

My arm still hurts right in the middle of the deltoid muscle is it and its getting concerning now..

Gawd blimey media scare mongering us plebs, whipping us up into a frenzy again by reporting on Boris and chums are getting a little worried that COVID and winter is challenge who ever would have thought not!?

I think I need to present a negative LF result or proof of double vaccination next week

Looking a bit further down seems masks also required for some of the events
Mandatory use of mask
√ In public transport (including air transport and taxis or TVDE), concert halls and events, large commercial surfaces, residential structures for the elderly, health establishments and services.
√ By workers in bars, clubs, restaurants and commercial and service establishments.

On the beaches: on the accesses, walkways and sanitary facilities it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask, but the physical distance of 1.5m between each user is maintained. It remains mandatory for street vendors.

tbf, there's plenty of people in hospitality (working) who still wear masks in the places I've been going to recently - coffee shops/restaurants, as in whoever is managing them must be making them mandatory for staff.

But they really aren't the biggest factor. They do help mind but I'm not gonna wear a mask in a gig which is going to be the most packed space I've been in since March 2020.

I still wear my mask to go to the shops/anything medical, of course.
