So after 6405 pages we've finally answered the question. Which I think most here pretty much had figured out anyway by Page 3

Even if another pandemic, diety forbid hit us in the near future, I wouldn't trust either that they'd learned anything during this current one.

Yes. But, many things which are beneficial for lots of people should be available but aren't. It's the reason we have commissioners to assess need, prioritise and plan.

Different topic really but free healthcare should be available to all in this country. Obviously thats not the case but its a shame.

We need to get the pregnant women vaccinated. Maybe provide midwifes with more information on vaccines so that women are aware that they're safe.

Edit: I mean all healthcare should be free. Everything should be included.

As per the BBC news conversation from the other day

I do agree, which is why the only news channel I watch now is Channel 4.

Their reporting is balanced, no attempts at misrepresentation and not agenda driven.

Did you not notice on some news outlets, Coronavirus went away for a week or so, whilst the loons where queuing for petrol and then when all that stopped, Coronavirus all of a sudden came back again lol

It's understandable that there is a poor rate of vaccination for pregnant and women trying to conceive. As someone who is expecting a second child within the next few weeks, my experience has been that information is extremely hard to find, there is a lack of reliable accessible information and often advice was to 'contact your GP', who then referred to the midwife, who referred back to the GP. Mrs Jebus booked vaccination at vaccination centres to be told she wasn't eligible, they couldn't vaccinate as they didn't have the clinical expertise, they didn't have the correct vaccine. I'm thankful that I have access to Public Health colleagues to advise. But I can imagine others would feel overwhelmed and frustrated by the process.

I couldn`t agree more, but the problem seems to be that some women are erring on the side caution, both with pregnancy and getting their daughters vaccinated ( fertility )

From conversations with female friends, all of whom are double vaccinated and sensible people, there seems to be a real hesitancy in getting their girls vaccinated, due to the perception of it possibly affecting fertility.

Their rationale, is that even if their kids get it, it`s very unlikely to harm them, where as if they get them vaccinated, there`s a chance it may affect their chances of having children in the future, due to not knowing what the long term side affects of the vaccine are.

Conversely, they`re quite happy for their sons to have it.

Flu is likely to be much worse this year, both because we have such little immunity due to our lack of mobility over the past year, and the paucity of flu cases thus far making it harder to know precisely which strain to make the vaccine for.

You "might" reason that because a lockdown is unlikely that it'd be a good thing to do something simple like stick a fecking mask on, but it seems like that's too much of an imposition for many.
It's the making up of a new buzz word designed for nothing more than to scare people .that made me post that link, "twindemic" gutter journalism.
