A friend of mine (who isn't an anti-vaxxer, and is otherwise a rational person) says she isn't getting vaccinated until after her baby is born, she's four months' pregnant now. A bit concerning.

It must be a difficult decision for a woman to make. I have a friend who has put off having the vaccine as she is looking to start a family and she is not confident that there is enough data to be sure that there are no risks.

It shouldn't be a difficult decision though. It's just that misinformation is outweighing actual information, just as dickheads spooked people with MMR scare stories.

Flu is likely to be much worse this year, both because we have such little immunity due to our lack of mobility over the past year, and the paucity of flu cases thus far making it harder to know precisely which strain to make the vaccine for.

You "might" reason that because a lockdown is unlikely that it'd be a good thing to do something simple like stick a fecking mask on, but it seems like that's too much of an imposition for many.

So the media is at fault because the NHS cannot manage two respiratory illness, that's some Tory frontal lobe mind juggling. I'm sure front line staff will be comforted by this latest distraction. 160,000 dead and counting...

I only wear a mask on public transport and inside supermarkets.

Haven't had the flu jab yet, don't know if I should as a 29 yo.
