The lateral flows are the ones that take 20 minutes to give you the result, not a chance they’re more effective than the PCR ones. If you test positive with a lateral flow you’re supposed to then do a PCR, not the other way round.
Yea I know they are not reliable and that media again tries to scare people, just wanted to know the exact procedure.

Hahahaha yeah I bet it’s that, not the fact that the lateral flow tests are just wrong. Would be terrible if they were including those results in any sort of data that’s being out there by the BBC to try and push for more lockdowns wouldn’t it.

They’re gutted that the predicted post July opening up doomsday scenario, that they said would to happen, hasn’t happened.

Expect them to try to ramp it, as the school holidays approach ( 2 weeks ) as they were sure that there’d be another lockdown then.

They’re gutted that we’re not having 100,000 deaths a day like they said we would when we opened back up. Footy crowds have been back in stadiums for 3 months, schools have been back for 6 weeks, indoor hospitality has been open and events like festivals have been taking place for 3 months. Yet the apocalypse has yet to arrive. The fear machine is stuttering to a halt. Glad people are seeing them for what they are.

No hospital figures reported for today, last Saturday’s late revealed total was 119

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 133 deaths were announced today, up 9 on yesterday and up 12 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 112.43

For the 60 day cut off, 194 deaths were announced today, up 29 on yesterday and up 38 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 137.86

I have no doubt this is a factor. As you say the brain is very powerful. I remember years ago when I genuinely thought there was something seriously wrong with me. Being a young idiot I didn’t go to the doctor and things got worse. When I eventually did go to the doctor there was nothing wrong with me but the anxiety I had brought upon myself by taking too long to see someone was making everything worse. The day I got all my test results back everything vanished. Was completely ok again. It was really weird.

I’m not trying to call anyone out here but I do find it interesting that people that are more sceptical of the vaccine are experiencing issues more than people that are 100% on board with them. I really wonder if there is something psychological going on there.

I’ve read before that medical students often think they have various health issues as they are researching and dealing with them constantly. Our brains can really do a number on us
This has happened to me loads of times too. It’s quite interesting. I agree with you and wonder whether people prone to that kind of thing might be more likely to feel the effects for longer because they worry about them more. I’m not calling out anyone either. Basing it my own experience with the jab and other physical niggles I’ve had in the past.

When your anxious, your body is on alert and any sensations are multiplied.
You go looking for stuff and feel things ordinarily you never would.
You stress out muscles easier.

Its amazing the impact mind can have on the body.

Think of when you are nervous and get butterflies in your stomach. Classic example of mind causing stress induced physical impact on body part.

No hospital figures reported for today, last Sunday’s late revealed total was 44

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 38 deaths were announced today, down 95 on yesterday and down 5 on last Sunday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 111.71

For the 60 day cut off, 44 deaths were announced today, down 150 on yesterday and down 8 on last Sunday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 136.71

Apparently there's been loads of cases of false-positives with lateral flows in the last few months. Heard a few experts saying to take a PCR test as soon as you test positive on a lateral flow - there's a decent chance that the PCR will be negative (this is mainly for symptomless people).

Just seen that around 20% of hospitalisations are pregnant women.

This is mainly due to anti vax incorrect narrative that vaccines are dangerous during pregnancy. The government should target this group by bringing out information or news campaigns that shows vaccines are safe.

Testing is a bit weird at times. I've heard of people testing negative on lateral flows 3 or 4 times then testing positive on a PCR.

I know that people might not be using the lateral flow tests properly but there does seem to be some inconsistencies.

Couldn’t have put it better.
