If you’ve come this far and still don’t get it then there’s no chance. Children do get it and they then spread it. They might not get seriously ill themselves (some do though) but they can pass it on to people that might. I’m not sure if what you posted here is your own thoughts or from somewhere else. But wherever it is from it is deluded
If the majority of the vulnerable have been vaccinated, then who are the kids spreading it to?

Occam's razor and all that....
But I know people who've had the jab and been floored for a few weeks without having COVID as well.

In the case of a lot of athletes who have not yet got vaccinated, I'd imagine that is quite a concern. Even if they have one to two days of being unable to train fully it might impact their performance.

I'm just saying, there's differing issues here and they can't all just be shrugged off.

The U.K. is Europe's virus hotspot - does it matter?
Apparently not, nobody seems particulary bothered that thousnds are falling sick, as long as they stay out of hospital.

isn't that just UK society in general? For better or worse this is what every winter has looked like in the past.

And we know the pattern- by December there'll be more in hospitals, but less beds and staff than previous years. So we will go into lockdown or severe restrictions now we've opened that box

But getting ill but unlikely to go to hospital has been a known risk of leaving the house for our entire lives until now. To be honest getting ill with a chance of going to hospital has, we just barely considered it.

Not saying we shouldn't look at it now it's been highlighted front and centre, and like I say when it becomes a problem we will, but there's got to be balance

People are getting positive lateral flow tests followed by negative PCR tests, and now health chiefs are investigating. Here's why.

People in different areas of southern England have reported testing positive for Covid-19 in lateral flow tests and then negative in subsequent PCRs. One scientist said it needed to be looked into “seriously and rapidly” with potential explanations including faulty tests or even a new variant of the disease not being picked up by PCR tests.

Hahahaha yeah I bet it’s that, not the fact that the lateral flow tests are just wrong. Would be terrible if they were including those results in any sort of data that’s being out there by the BBC to try and push for more lockdowns wouldn’t it.

Thought myself that if you test positive with lateral ones you are %100 positive, if negative it could still be wrong?

The lateral flows are the ones that take 20 minutes to give you the result, not a chance they’re more effective than the PCR ones. If you test positive with a lateral flow you’re supposed to then do a PCR, not the other way round.
