Yeah even with the vax, UK fares far worse compared to same day last year. Which is awkward.7th September 2020;

80%+ adults fully vaccinated or not... we're in for a rough for months.
Keep hydrated, eat when you can, try some deep breathing exercises and maybe get a cheap oximeter if you want some reassurance. It will pass.
I'm reasonably fit, had it a few weeks ago and felt similar to you for about a week. Felt rubbish and easily out of breath. My next door neighbour has diabetes, smokes and is very overweight. He had it and didn't feel a thing, he just lost his taste and smell for a few days. My Dad had it and apart from a bit of a cough, continued to work through it. My brother the same.
Like all things, it affects people differently.
I have a funny feeling that there may be one just around the corner.
Because too many people are bellends and selfish.Yeah even with the vax, UK fares far worse compared to same day last year. Which is awkward.
Concise and to the point.Because too many people are bellends and selfish.

This is a HUGE piece of advice. £20 on amazon and can give reassurance mainly, and in bad situations give an early warning sign of needing medical help.Keep hydrated, eat when you can, try some deep breathing exercises and maybe get a cheap oximeter if you want some reassurance. It will pass.

Incredible there isn't more talk about these things given the nature of the virus for some
Yep -was some advice I read very early in the pandemic, if there are issues with the lungs it's likely it'll drop below 95% and you know to call for help early instead of waiting for it to get really badIs that to measure SAT levels?

Whilst not dismissing them as a DIY tool, everyone has different SAT level % expectations. 95% is a level targeted at youngish (50 ish) patients in ICU/respiratory recovery wards, following lung issues. (Using pure oxygen as a prompt). Most folk just walking past the hospital in a city centre would have naturally lower %.
An elderly, heavy smoker, in recovery, would be targeted at nearer 85% for example. In a ward.
Yep that's going to be right for sure. I'll just be interested if the number starts to drop!

True it is different for everyone, but can't hurt to baseline yourself while healthy and keep an eye out for drops when you've got the virus!iirc, when Mrs R was wired up to stuff in ICU, if hers dropped below 84% they were pinged to turn the volume up.
