Ah so your premise is completely hypothetical? If it makes you feel better.

Considering this thread this is a succinct summary.
the rates aren't really going down are they. returning to schools will be interesting.
Genuinely interested in this statement. What makes you say that?Yes, it has a more devastating effect.

The worry is if the deaths start moving towards a 200-300 average. Schools and universities in a couple of weeks will definitely be a big test.
I thought the drop the other week was pretty much it. Maybe others did too and that was the problem
It would be interesting to see the vaccinated percentages for deaths. Todays deaths includes 57 care home patients, you'd assume the majority of them will have been fully vaccinated.
Yeah, lots of moving parts making modeling very difficult as even those who have been pretty decent acknowledgeThese numbers look positive. Some of the comments to that tweet are mindnumbing. People saying why are more fully vaccinated than none vaccinated being hospitalised.. erm because there are over 20x the quantity of people in that group than unvaccinated.
Seeing todays figures has made me question how high the numbers are going to get in the UK over the next 6-8 weeks. Will it go above 200 average per day or flatten out at around 125-150 then drop?
Quite difficult to work out where its all going.
Vaccines were only ever part of the answer. Very similar to many health issues. We're simple tweak in how we live our lives could have a dramatic effect. Instead too many people want to go about their lives be that eating drinking to excess and breathing over me unmasked in the hope modern medicine can allow them to continue their selfish liberal lives.Unfortunately we've got to get the correct balance. We cannot force the country to wear masks forever but getting people to go to a 10 minute vaccination appointment should be a little more straight forward. You'd hope that booster jabs etc will protect immune compromised people as much as possible.
If everyone was vaccinated ICUs would not be full of covid patients. The reality is a large percentage of people who end up in ICU are not fully vaccinated.
