Almost but not quite, the Buzz Lightyear action figure shortage of 1995 still beats this by some distance. Is this the UKs worst crisis since World War 2? Trying to get the scale right in my head

The crazy thing is that it doesn't seem to have hit the 3rd and developing world countries as much at the moment. I'm guessing that's maybe a transport infrastructure thing?
For context, India (the worlds second largest populace) has only had around 350 'confirmed' cases with only 4 confirmed deaths.
Considering their lack of medical infrastructure and finances compared to the Chinese, you'd expect it could seriously rip through the country when it gets going.

Not 100% sure on the validity of this outlet mind.
See I think this is what the scientists expect, it will drop off in the summer but we will get a second wave again towards the end of the year as it gets colder.I was looking at the cases per country and I did notice that the African and Caribbean countries all had very few cases.
Im hoping that it doesnt like heat very much.
Isn't Australia roasting this time of year?I was looking at the cases per country and I did notice that the African and Caribbean countries all had very few cases.

Iiirc MERS and SARS were not seasonal. However hope like hell this coronavirus is as it would give everyone a much needed break to prepare for an autumn wave if there was a summer slowdown - might even mean we had some antivirals, certainly you’d hope more hospital capacity and supplies.I was looking at the cases per country and I did notice that the African and Caribbean countries all had very few cases.

I think the whole heat thing is to do with Windows being opened and people generally being outside more. Think even the flu can survive hot temps but it's how we act that slows the spread compared to winter when we're huddled indoors more and doors/windows are shutNo idea mate, im almost certain my theory is complete rubbish.
Mobile homes - caravans - are...... Or just day trippers?Hotels and B&Bs aren't open are they?
Its spreading like wildfire through nsw and Victoria here in aus so dont think heat has anything to do with it. 30 degree days in vic this week but just announced another 50 cases overnight which is a 25% increase in total cases for the state in one day. This things going through the roof. The reality seems to be that flattening the curve may only stretch out the length of time it takes for those at risk to contract and succumb to the virus. Without a vaccine this is going to be a huge loss of life, especially in Europe.
