She is pretty much bed bound though I have just bought her a wheel chair but it is not warm enough at the moment to take her out.
I have the groceries covered as I slip out in short bursts. To be honest I don't need much as she only feeds through a tube in her stomach which comes direct in liquid form.
Thanks for the offer though and the kind words

So sorry mate.

Where abouts are you? If there's anything any of us can do to help at all, even if it's just to relieve the need to nip to the shop or whatever.

Total agree with this.

I‘m not supposed to mod Current Affairs, but I’m not going to let us get distasteful in here. Folks are going to be scared, hurting through personal loss and/or financial stress.

We take care of each other.

I don't at all mean to come across as being unaware of the dangers/stress at all when I've posted re the best way to deal with things or there will be deaths etc.

I'm dead worried for my dad who has COPD (but fortunately he hasn't smoked or drank in over a decade and it was 13 years ago that he fell ill) and even my sister, who is as fit as a fiddle but has asthma pretty bad. Bloody hell, I'm worried for me. Even though I think I'd be able to get through I know you can't count your chickens - just doing as much as I can to be healthy if the worst happens. Worried for my nana too but bless her at this stage with her dementia she doesn't know what's going on and is just massively confused.

Horrid situation for all. I've been focusing on the impact on finances etc and I know really that falls by the wayside when it comes to life and death. But everyone has been impacted in one way or the other and it's gonna get worse. Just grim all round.

Thanks mate, and all the offers of help if I haven't responded personally doesn't mean I don't appreciate the gestures.
I am going to get my head down now so If I don't reply to anyone I am not ignoring you

Is this the UKs worst crisis since World War 2? Trying to get the scale right in my head

Yes mate.

I really fear for the hundreds of thousands who used the Underground in London particularly, but all public transport in close proximity for the past few weeks.

The idiots who thought it was so clever to defy medical advice and real experience of other countries by merrily socialising in pubs and clubs will also be ruing their crass stupidity.

So, and this is just my opinion obviously.. Not official..

If you are an NHS worker, please, if you can get to a Tesco tomorrow morning at 9am.
The shelves will be full of what you need and if you are local to me you will get a bunch of flowers gratis as you walk in as a gesture of thanks.

I can only say this for my store, but I hope others haven't put tomorrow's deliveries out today already as that would be a social media disaster, let alone not doing the right thing.
