What is going on with people heading to the coast today?

Easter weekend gonna be a real problem with people thinking it's fine to just head off for the weekend like under normal circumstances

The Welsh and Cornish tourist boards are starting to put stuff up saying please don’t come, so the message may have got through by then.

The north coast over here was supposed to be packed with people today. Especially Portstewart for anyone who knows the area.

Just don't get the mentality of heading to the beach in a pandemic like it's a May bank holiday or something

Hotels and B&Bs aren't open are they?

Not sure tbh

Although I think it was just ones out for a day trip for a walk by the sea.

They think they're just heading for a walk with themselves or the family. But its completely unsafe and a lack of common sense to all head somewhere that is very likely to be busy.

Go a walk round your house and avoid others if you must go out. Dont head off for the day to somewhere you can be sure to find crowds

TBF that is probably more Macron being his usual knob self than anything else - trying to claim credit for something that was already being done, then tell people he was responsible for it and all in an attempt to avoid blame for him spending his entire Presidency provoking riots instead of making sure his country could cope with a disaster. It would have been a lot more plausible if he'd threatened that back in the herd immunity days as well.

The crazy thing is that it doesn't seem to have hit the 3rd and developing world countries as much at the moment. I'm guessing that's maybe a transport infrastructure thing?

For context, India (the worlds second largest populace) has only had around 350 'confirmed' cases with only 4 confirmed deaths.
Considering their lack of medical infrastructure and finances compared to the Chinese, you'd expect it could seriously rip through the country when it gets going.
Pakistan also :(

Not 100% sure on the validity of this outlet mind.

There will be certain "conditions" that the virus will slow down its spread. Perhaps we will see a trend forming ?
