Not having a go here Legs, but given we're having a heatwave, I imagine that won't have helped.

From people just being outside more and having accidents, to people suffering in the heat, to then people going out and being on the lash all day in 30 degree heat
It absolutely will have had an impact but ambulances have been on the edge well before the heatwave and COVID restrictions being eased

You have to wonder how the NHS is ever going to get back on its feet. Was in a bad position prior to the pandemic and now its going to struggle badly. Even if covid wasn't a thing there would be major issues this winter.

Another problem thats came from tory austerity but o well, at least its not communist Corbyn etc etc.
Iirc a lot of nursing staff were European so impacted by Brexit too and know this is only one case but still just so wrong

Hospital figures - 74 deaths were announced today, up 59 on yesterday and up 36 on last Tuesday. 73 deaths were in English hospitals, up 62 on yesterday and up 36 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 38.14

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 96 deaths were announced today, up 77 on yesterday and up 46 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 48.86

For the 60 day cut off, 109 deaths were announced today, up 86 on yesterday and up 49 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 57.43

Worth nothing, before people start losing their minds over the numbers, that Tuesday data is a catch-up on up to 4 days worth of data, especially with hospitals
