That footage isn't of panic buying mate.
It's the nightly scene that we see every night of the week for the final reductions.
It's the same people every night fighting over gear.
Some have now even got together to help eachother get stuff.. hence the fella passing items to someone else.
They fill a trolley and then divide it up between them.
This scene is fresh produce. The same happens in the meat aisle.. the same happens at the bakery EVERY NIGHT.
We have had skint people in this country for years who do this every night, but it's never got a mention until now.
.....I was in M&S yesterday and Mrs Eggs and I were considering our granddaughter whilst looking at the last two packets of disposable nappies. Immediately, a women took them both but then came back and offered one to us as she’d prefer to share than take what’s left.
I‘m sure our granddaughter was fine, so I insisted she take them but I said the offer was appreciated. i believe the majority of folk are decent.

How utterly awful, using deaths stat comparisons, have we become that flippant about loss of life.

It's not being quoted as a contest. It's an illustration that we are on the same path as Italy. Today our deaths rose to 233. Look at the number for Italy two days after the last UK figure on that chart...
If seeing those statistics convinces one person to maintain social distance who would not otherwise have done so... it's well worth it.

Maybe I’m in the wrong if I am I apologise, I just find the number of deaths utterly horrific, shocking and can’t feel anything only compassion. Italy is just devastating.

What I don't get is these people must see that they are being ridiculed by the majority of the country. Like, they can't be that thick?
