Some idiot saying that if those who are fully immunised are allowed to not isolate it will cause resentment to those who haven’t and might put people off. No my friend, the more liberties and less restrictions we give to those who are fully vaccinated will incentivise the un-immunised to get the jab. Basically he’s saying no one gets any benefits until everyone has been done. If these are the people advising the government then they are the ones who should be self isolating, without phone or Internet, for the next few years.
As the stats are showing, the vaccines are doing their job, however we are now self harming as a nation. Huge numbers of people are now fully vaccinated but this track and trace is telling more and more people to self isolate. My daughter got a text last week to self isolate, without a clue as to why or from where. She has been fully vaccinated for a while now but is now locked away in her room continuing to wfh. It is not the unvaccinated that will shortly be up in arms, but the tens of millions of fully vaccinated folk still following these absolutely stupid rules.….
I will shortly go to the pub, dutifully put on my mask prior to walking eight to ten feet to my chair then taking it off. Everyone in our place has had at least one jab, about 95% have had two, as well as the staff. Out of 100,000 people in our area, no deaths are reported and haven’t been for ages. We follow the rules to the letter, but it is now at breaking point……

Agree with this 100%. Here in the US, we’ve tried all manner of freebies and handouts trying to get people to get vaxxed, with relatively little effect. Think it offers some % protection from catching, some % from then passing it on, etc... but not sure what those percentages are for Delta. Would be interested if anybody can find the stats

Helps quite a bit mate. The majority of people who are catching it aren't double vaccinated but you can still get it. Most infections at the moment are people younger than 30.

I'm guessing if it was picked up by the lateral flow, I will be infectious to others.
Good to test mate even double vaccinated. You've done a PCR test as well so if it does confirm it you've been spot on
Main thing is if you feel a bit rough, that's all you feel and you recover quickly.
