I believe it is the right strategy, but it is too early to tell.

Sadly deaths are probably the more reliable indicator in the early stages, as testing has so many variables. Infections, whether detected or not, should slow after 7-14 days, but the figures for deaths won't show any slowing for I don't know how long after. Of course, if/when hospitals are overwhelmed this figure will be skewed again.
Oh, and of course they will still increase.

Incredibly, we will see it as a huge "win" to see things (only) doubling every week.

....daughter is a Consultant, if she’s not in work she’s on call. Just been chatting; because of her area of expertise she feels she’ll be on duty in Intensive Care from Monday.

I’m asking her to make sure she has a face mask, she says they’re not ideal unless they pass a ‘fit test’. She’s worried about us, we’re worried about her.
Yeah I have to get fitted on Wednesday. Provided I haven’t shown symptoms before then of course.

Am I the only one who is wondering why he has 50 houses, and also, where are the existing residents going to go?

edit. Oh, actually read the article.
I was thinking the same, but haven' read the article as you need to subscribe. So I'm still in the dark.

We just got an immediate 10% pay rise today for a few weeks.
Backdated a few days as well.

Great, tell them to double it or you won't be in. Mate you're in an essential, high risk job right now.

This is when capitalism bites capitalists in the arse. Supply and demand.

During the plague, there was so few people left that, if you were left standing you could name your price.

Don't be a villain, don't be greedy. But insist you get paid what you deserve.

Double their pay. I mean that. Workers should be payed according to the risk involved. This isn't a time for the 1% to sit back and garner profits.

Which they will.

Walmart want to hire 150,000 extra employees. Awesome. Are you going to pay them minimum wage? Good luck.
The least they can do is rotate them regularly to lower the risk.

He rents them out mainly to companys who have staff down in London for a period of time.

Cheaper and more homely than a hotel I guess.
Bit like airbnb.

Good on him then.

I want to see a lot more of these professional sports people come to the fore. The country is on it's knees and they are still getting paid tens or, in some cases, hundreds of thousands of pounds a week for literally doing nothing.

Anyone else wake up each morning now very acutely conscious of whether they’re breathing the same as normal? It’s a daily routine now.

Mine is different everyday having asthma.

Some good days, some bad days. At the moment it’s still recovering from the last game of footy I had the other day.

I’ve never took having asthma that seriously until all this.

At least your lungs are healthy and have had a free corno test :D -Its just arrived in place thank goodness? a fridge with a temperature dial - hurrah...
